My favourite weekend in a while, and that’s a tough competition. 29 feels good!

WHY cycle track? I did say I would talk about HOW

WHY cycle track? I did say I would talk about HOW to cycle track next, but explaining why you’d even bother to begin with seems to make more sense🕵🏽

I’m talking about this because it is genuinely important to me that cycle-having-humans feel empowered to have control and feel educated about their bodies. Knowledge is power! For too long we have had the bare minimum when it comes to actual facts about our bodies. Tracking your cycle means that you become an expert in your body. I can’t see how that’s not a positive?

My main reasons WHY cycle tracking could improve your life; (I could have gone on and on and on; I got a lot to say about this! The editing? Wild. She’s a long content girly💁🏽‍♀️)

1. Plan or prevent a pregnancy NATURALLY.
2. Authority over your emotions and mental wellbeing. (this isn’t to say you won’t feel emotional, you still inevitably will but it’s that layer of being able to give yourself grace and acceptance).
3. The ability to mindfully go about your business.
4. Getting to know and understand your body on a deeper level; whether it’s suddenly getting spots after you’ve perfected your skin care routine for weeks, whether it’s getting gushes (yup I said gushes) of discharge and wondering if you’ve pissed your pants, whether it’s feeling tired, feeling 👹, whatever it may be, all of these things can be related to your cycle stage and I have constant ‘ah ha’ moments!

The thrilling content you’ve all been waiting for! HA

Tuesdays, after I finish my Cafe job I go to a cleaning job.

This lady took us in as ‘Workaways’ when we first arrived in Brisbane and she asked me to continue to clean for her after we moved into a more permanent place. She took in Workaways because she wanted to keep her brain alive, to avoid the inevitable side effects of aging. She had read that meeting new, especially younger people, could help. She is also trying to learn another language and is still working full time! She lives in such a gorgeous area right on the river. The journey there was always so perfect and something I’ll miss forever (this coming from me who hates boats!!)
She is definitely a quirky character and I was never short on entertainment from her stories of dating other 60 year olds; how she had to sack them off because they were either not rich enough, smart enough or showing signs of becoming old, which she absolutely could not do with.
She was always so kind to Joseph and I and genuinely offered everything she could and more to us without a second thought. The world could do with a few more people like her.

Yesterday was my last time cleaning for her and probably ever seeing her.

I literally love cleaning. It’s my therapy and always has been. It’s the ONLY time where my brain feels peaceful and my thoughts quiet (sometimes this happens when I exercise but I’ll never admit it, never!).
I’d like to keep cleaning as something that makes me feel better so I’d never do it as a job but this small period of time where I did, was actually really nice.

So I made a lil vid to commemorate this random short period of my life (and to remember all the gadgets so I can buy them when we get home)!

There is A LOT of information that the systems we have been raised within have neglected to inform us about.
I’d love to be a catalyst for sharing some of that information.
